Shirpamal
Shirpamal is a historic structure situated at the summit of the hill in Jawhar. Built around three centuries ago, it holds great significance as the place where Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj chose to camp during his expedition to Surat. It was here that Vikramshah, the first king of the Jawhar kingdom, warmly welcomed Shivaji Maharaj and ceremoniously placed a feather in his crown, marking their bond.
The strategic location of Shirpamal allowed for clear surveillance of enemy movements while offering a breathtaking panoramic view of the valley, vibrant with natural beauty. Reaching Shirpamal is itself a memorable journey, with the scenic and captivating surroundings making it a major attraction. Today, the enchanting setting of Shirpamal continues to draw tourists from far and wide.
